Board Chairman

Papa serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fortress Ghana.  He has 17 years Pan African experience, working in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire.  Papa has worked in both start up companies and established corporates with a focus on strategy development, financial management and reporting and business improvement turnaround programs.  He spent 7 years with Innscor Africa, a diversified conglomerate of companies with interests in agriculture, retail, fast foods, food and equipment manufacturing and tourism, rising to the position of Financial Director for the head office cluster.

Kweku Sekyiamah is an accomplished project management and engineering professional with in-depth experience managing global engineering projects using critical project management tools & benchmarks. Kweku has a successful track record of leading highly productive project/operations units to achieve production results aligned with business objectives and within project constraints (safety, reliability, cost, schedule, & quality). Most recently, Kweku worked for ExxonMobil Corporation in their Global Project Management group and was involved in projects in both the upstream and downstream divisions and across the company’s global production and refining asset portfolio.

Fred Attakumah has over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry and is currently the Executive for Corporate Affairs, and a Director, of Asanko Gold Ghana Limited. Fred’s experience spans heavy industry project engineering and construction, operations as well as sustainability and stakeholder relations management. He has managed various projects relating to infrastructure development, process plants, materials handling systems, utilities and services reticulation networks and, on the operational side, implemented systems on asset management, asset integrity and reliability.

Mr. Augustine Kwakye-Agyekum has over 31 years banking experience across Southern Africa and the Middle East and has been instrumental in expanding and deepening the Custody and Trustee Services operations of major international banks like Société Générale, Standard Chartered Bank Plc, Barclays Bank Plc and Standard Bank of South Africa. Augustine spearheaded the expansion of Standard Bank of South Africa’s expansion into eight African countries in the early 1990s, expanded markets and strengthened Barclays Bank South Africa’s products in the early 2000s and headed Standard Chartered Bank’s Africa Sales, Investors and Intermediaries division in 2010.

Esi Nana Sekyiamah is an international manager with over 6 years of Board and senior management experience in private and public sector organizations in both domestic and international markets. She is a multi-cultural team leader with proven leadership expertise in business development, performance improvement and corporate turnarounds and an exceptional ability to communicate and persuade at all levels of management including leading government heads and Boards of Directors.
