Technical Consultant (Energy)
Mr. Santiago Ibáñez has more than 14 years of international experience in the energy industry, having worked in different areas such as power T&D, biofuels and conventional / renewable power generation for the most relevant players in Spain. He has specialized in project management, international strategy, business development and project finance.
Since 2006, he is an associate professor at the Comillas Pontifical University (Madrid) where he teaches and does research on energy topics. He is a frequent speaker at energy events and has written papers on energy technology and regulation.Santiago has a strong passion for cleantech and sustainability. His goal for the upcoming years is to develop and help others to develop clean tech and innovation projects that will result in a more efficient and sustainable world. Santiago holds a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Vigo, a Masters degree in Power Engineering from the University of Zaragoza, an MBA degree from the IE Business School and an MBA degree, focused in energy topics, global strategy, innovation and infrastructure finance, from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
